Rehabilitation of the DN600 sewer system on Av. Boyacá using CIPP UV technology
The challenge
The work was carried out on a 24-inch main sewer line located under Avenida Boyacá, one of the busiest roads in Bogotá, where open trench excavation was not feasible. The initial CCTV inspection revealed joint displacements and structural deterioration, necessitating structural rehabilitation using trenchless technology.
Project conditions
Access to the collector was achieved through deep wells with high water flow and a significant presence of material within the system, which created complex operating conditions for the execution of the project.
Solution implemented
The rehabilitation was carried out using CIPP sleeve with UV curing, creating a new structural pipe within the existing conduit and correcting the irregularities of the system.
